'My Introduction'

I spent from 1998 till 2003 on my computer randomly surfing my way through Internet Web sites.
In 2003, a family member introduced me to a graphic's program, PhotoImpact. I subscribed to a tutorial course at their online resource center where a graphic image a week would fulfill the requirements.
While taking these tutorials, I registered for a more in-depth 6 week course in the Path Edit Tool and the use of vectors for creating images. This had a profound effect on me, as I realized, I knew a smidgen about computer graphic imagery.
At the end of this PI tutorial course, I received a Certificate of Achievement. It took me a year and a half to complete all 92 tutorials and create from this graphics program, a web page. As I knew nothing of hypertext mark-up language, I quickly lost this page, once on my own.
So, when PIRC sent out their newsletter offering HTML at their Visual Arts Academy, I jumped at the chance to learn this stuff and to be able to display my 'new' graphics knowledge.
Taking online courses at Visual Arts Academy has enhanced my lifestyle, considerably.
In residing with these online faculties, I have had one computer crash and have relocated, once. The four years I have spent on the computer doing PI Tutorials and VAA Course Instruction(s) has given me confidence and security in handling myself on a computer.
Although, I will never be as good as my instructors, I have learned much about becoming a web page designer!
